“Things aren’t always so simple,” Cathcart says of Kitty’s next move in season two. In the end, you’re like, ‘I literally have no idea anything. I think about it. There are a lot of new people who are becoming potential now. Seeing her world expand is a huge, massive difference and it will be a really fun thing to watch.”

Han also previously talked about writing the show in an interview with TUDUM, reflecting on how writing for such young characters allowed her to have more creative freedom with romantic storylines.

Han said, “I write a lot of romance stories about young people. Everyone wants a ‘happily ever after’ and the feeling of two people together forever – but they’re really young. What was exciting about Kitty’s story [is] It shows that you can really explore different people at different times in your life.”
