
Thomas Haden Church starred in the original Sam Raimi movie Spider Man Trilogy as Flint Marco / Sandman, and after his return in the 2021 movie Spider-Man: No way homeChurch said that a return to Sandman in a future project is currently in discussion.
Speaking to The DisInsider, Church revealed that talks about his Sandman return were currently in the works, and even mentioned a storyline regarding the character that had been cut. No going home.
“We had a whole story about his daughter No going homeChurch said. “And it just ended [cut]. There was a lot going on… Amy [Pascal] and Kevin [Feige]We had a lot of conversations. And I would say that talks have taken place about the possibility of Sandman entering a future iteration.”
Church then added that talk of his return had occurred, with the idea of ”picking up a more satisfying storyline” discussed.
Spider-Man: No way home It saw the return of several characters from both Sam Raimi Spider Man Movies plus Andrew Garfield-led The Amazing Spider-Man films. This movie was a massive success for both Marvel Studios and Sony, grossing over $1.9 billion at the box office and becoming the sixth highest-grossing movie of all time.
