At the helm was Rawson Marshall Thurber, whose previous work includes other classic comedy films such as Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story (2004) and We are the millers (2013). He also co-produced alongside Danny Garcia, Dwayne Johnson, as well as Hiram Garcia and Beau Flynn, who returned to work with Thurber on both sequels.

In an interview with Team Collider about her upcoming movie Heart of Stone, when asked about the progress of her Red Notice series, she clearly expressed excitement at what was to come.
