The latest trailer for the upcoming absurd comedy series, I’m VirgoAnother take on Prime Video’s superhero satire from distinguished director Boots Riley. Released with permission from Amazon Studios, I Am a Virgo will introduce audiences to a world of super-powered people the likes of which we’ve never seen before, following a 13-foot-tall teenager as he leaves his safe home for the first time. I’m Virgo It’s been described as a “dark fantasy coming-of-age comedy outing” and follows Cootie (Jharrel Jerome), a 13-foot-tall black guy in Oakland, California. After growing up in hiding, spending his time on a diet of comic books and TV shows, he escapes to experience the beauty and contradictions of the real world. He makes friends, finds love, navigates awkward situations, and encounters his idol, the real-life superhero named The Hero, played by Walton Goggins (Walton Goggins).The Hateful Eight, the Righteous Gem), and was accidentally discovered by a group of teenage political activists.

Although the idea of a superhero satire has been done many times before, it’s unlikely it will be done the way Potts Riley will. Riley’s directorial debut, Sorry to bother youintroduced audiences to the filmmaker’s brilliantly distorted approach and undoubtedly teases the way he will bring the popular superhero genre to the small screen.
The first four episodes of I’m Virgo It premiered at the South by Southwest Film Festival back in March, and is currently sitting at 100% on review aggregator site Rotten Tomatoes. “I’m Virgo Den of Geek’s Alec Bogalad, with Collider’s Chase Hutchinson, says, “The more glimpses we get at his vision, with all its rich creativity and righteous anger that shoots freely in unexpected directions, the better.” I’m Virgo promises to be.”
