After starring hookAnd Hailee Steinfeld He says it’s time to bring the Young Avengers into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Steinfeld’s character Kate Bishop has been part of the Young Avengers in the comics, and other characters from the group have also appeared in the MCU. The seeds have been planted for the formation of the group, though as of yet, there haven’t been any official announcements about the MCU debut of the young superhero group.


Recently, on TheDirect, Steinfeld addressed the Young Avengers in a new interview with Josh Horowitz for happy sad confused Podcast. She said she didn’t know about any possible plans for the group, so anyone else’s guess is as good as hers. That said, Steinfeld has made it clear that her hope is for the Young Avengers to come very soon, as she’s eager to return as Kate Bishop and start the group up. As Steinfeld explains:

“Yeah, I’m definitely chomping… It’s been a while since then [the Apple TV+ series] Dickinson is over and since Hook is out, but I’m ready to go back to it. I’m so excited to be again with the people who do what I do, and love what we do, and have a sense of belonging when I’m on set, and a sense of home, and I just love it. Some time has passed. So, I chomp a little.”

When asked if there were any actors in particular she was excited to share the screen with, Steinfeld said it was incredibly difficult to make a decision, and to find love for the many different people who make up the MCU. She said:

“Oh man. Oh man, the list is long. Everyone you mentioned. The list is long. I just started re-watching all the Marvel movies in order. So…”

Are the Young Avengers coming to the MCU?

Other stars of the MCU have also called for the introduction of the Young Avengers. Xochitl Gomez, who played America Chavez in last year’s MCU movie Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of MadnessHe also hoped that the group would be formed soon. Last year, Chávez said she hopes to return to the MCU, perhaps in a sequel The Avengers: Kang Dynasty. It’s also theorized that perhaps one of the unannounced projects in development for the MCU’s Phase 6 is a Young Avengers movie, and it’s keeping its “fingers crossed” for that possibility. As she told Movies Con Jovanny:

“Obviously, there’s the Kang Dynasty, so a little bit of Kang, I think that could be fun with America. But there were a lot of unannounced, unnamed titles. We saw some things in Phase 6 that didn’t really have a name, so I don’t know, fingers crossed, maybe the Young Avengers?

Time will tell if the Young Avengers take shape in the MCU, however The Avengers: Kang Dynasty It will be released in theaters on May 2, 2025.
