Instead of trying to recreate the first movie (something that’s been done before – with disappointing results) Englund thinks the studio would be better off reviving one of the sequels instead. “I definitely think it should restart [A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors]because the number 3 contains “previously in A nightmare on Elm Street“Meaning has it, it unites everyone, and it’s a fan favorite,” he explained. “I think if you do a poll or vote, you’ll find more people like Dream Warriors than any other movie. It is a good text. The original script for that is great, and if you look at who wrote it, these guys have Oscars now.”
