Oscar nominated actor Elliot Page He’s been captivating audiences with his performances over the past decade and changes, and he recently opened up about his turbulent relationship with Hollywood during all of that time in his new memoir pageboy. Having started to define his career as he now wishes, another big project has hit his docket. According to a report from Deadline, he is set to star in the latest upcoming independent film from Dominic Savage titled Near Youwhich is currently in the process of ending production in Page’s home country of Canada.
Near You is a heartfelt family drama film directed by award-winning Dominic Savage, who has previously worked on a number of British dramas including the series “I am…’ (2019) as well escape (2017). He serves as the director and co-writer of the script alongside its main star Elliott Page, both of whom are also co-producing the project along with Krishnendu Majumdar and Richard Yee. While no other cast has been announced for the film, both Elliot Page (Umbrella Academy) and Hillary Buck (Metal sound) were confirmed as co-stars. Paak is a well-rounded actress, writer and producer who has appeared in other series such as the AppleTV+ anthology Little America (2020) and It was replaced at birth (2014), along with features such as the East (2013). Meanwhile, Page was nominated for an Academy Award for Outstanding Performance in 2007 Junocan be seen in the latest season of Netflix Umbrella Academy.
While few details have been revealed about the film’s plot, the story so far will follow Sam (Page) who has a chance encounter with an old friend (Baack) while returning home to a family reunion he was very reluctant to attend. While there, he is forced to confront some previously buried memories.
