“This story is my culture, and this story is a symbol of the grace of our people and the strength of a warrior. I wear this culture with pride on my skin and in my soul, and this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to reunite with Maui, inspired by the in-mana and spirit of my late grandfather, Supreme Commander Peter Maivia, is Very profound stuff for me. I want to thank my partners at Disney for their strong commitment to this special endeavor, because there is no better world for us to honor our people’s story, passion and purpose than through the world of music and dance, which is at the heart of who we are as a Polynesian people.”
