Although it is not said outright, and apparently left open to the possibility, Radcliffe suggests that it is unlikely, given the emphasis on starting over completely. With that said, Radcliffe also says he’s happy to pass the torch on, even if he’s not around to do so in person.

“My understanding is that they’re trying to start over and I’m sure whoever makes them will want to make their own mark on it and probably don’t want to have to figure out how to get old Harry to show up in this somewhere. So I’m definitely not looking for it in any way.” But I wish them, of course, all the best in the world and I am very excited about the passing of that torch. But I don’t think they need me to pass it physically.”

Given that Harry Potter The series is in its infancy, and it’s still unknown when the show will make its way to HBO and Max. With that said, HBO and original creator JK Rowling have been teasing the reboot by highlighting how exciting it is to re-imagin the story in a spin-off series format.

Rowling added, “Max’s commitment to preserving the integrity of my books is important to me, and I look forward to being a part of this new adaptation that will allow for a degree of depth and detail that only a long-running TV series can provide.”
As for Radcliffe, there are other places to catch the actor these days. He recently starred in the popular comedy Stranger: The Yankovic Story, which is being streamed for free on the Roku Channel. He’s also starring in the new fourth season of the anthology series miracle workersdubbed Miracle Workers: End Timeswhich premieres on TBS on Monday, July 10.
