
Director James Wan knows a thing or two about horror franchises, as the director plans to expand on his already massive success insidious String in popup. Speaking with Screen Rant, Wan teased the development Subject: Insidious storystating that it will take some inspiration from one of his other successful franchises, SorceryUsing the mysteries of the astral plane “More” to tell new stories, terrifying no doubt.
“Yeah, Thread basically springs from the world of TheMore in the same way that when I look at my Conjuring movies, I go, ‘Hey, the Warrens have a haunted museum, there are so many different haunted artifacts that we can kind of spin off stories about,’” and Thread is Really something in that same spirit. Lee and I kind of built this place called The More in the Insidious world, and we felt like there were so many stories we could tell, and that’s one potential story that we’re hoping to kind of get out there with the pop-up.”

It is set ten years after the end of the first two previous films, 2010 insidious and 2013 Insidious: Chapter 2And Insidious: The Red Door He finds Josh Lambert heading east to drop off his son Dalton at an idyllic Ivy League. However, Dalton’s college dream becomes a nightmare when repressed demons from his past suddenly return to haunt them both. To end the tragedy and put the demons to rest once and for all, Josh and Dalton must once again return to More in order to stop Lambert’s nightmare for good.
Directed by Patrick Wilson in his directorial debut, and from a screenplay written by Scott Thames, the fifth outing in the hugely successful horror series will bring together the likes of Patrick Wilson as Josh Lambert, Rose Byrne as Renai Lambert, Ty Simpkins as Dalton Lambert, and Andrew Astor as Foster Lambert. The likes of Peter Dagher, Garquis McClendon, Sinclair Daniel and Hiyam Abbas will also appear in the series Insidious: The Red Door.
